Organized Chaos Rainbow

Hello!!! It's been a busy week. Lots of swaps and mail going out, one shop sale. Woohoo!!! I am loving meeting new people this month. I have been good and really active over at MiniAlbumScraps.ning and over on the LEP Facebook page. So I thought I would share some photos of how I keep my crafty supplies organized. Though if you asked the hubby he'd say my crafty space is a complete disaster! But hey, I've been busy crafting so duh!  Lol.  I love these new bins, drawers and jars I'm using because they are clear! So not only can I keep like minded tid bits together but I can see exactly what is in there without having to release the chaos and open the lid. Cheers for messy rainbow piles of paper!

Flower Love

Ok so my new obsession is Flowers! I adore the beautiful little paper ones that I can spritz with glimmer mist and make shine and I love the little bright resin ones that look like little pieces of candy. I went from basically no flowers in my stash to an abundance! They make me smile. They are just so brightly colored and little and pretty. Here is what I've been using them on! Oh how I love Spring...

Whew!!!

It has been such a busy week!!! Yesterday was the little misses ROBOT birthday party and it was a fantastic whirl wind that has left me utterly exhausted! Seriously I feel
Like I spent two hours at the gym yesterday.

All week I have been planning on trying out a new crafting project that I am über excited about but just haven't had the time to delve into yet. So I have been shamelessly cruising YouTube learning new fun tricks and techniques. Which. Is. Dangerous. Luckily I hadn't spent my crafting allowance this month yet because now it's gone!!!

How had I new heard of Glimmer Spray. Glossy Accents or Stickles?! If you are obviously sheltered like me and have no idea what I'm talking about fear not! As soon as they arrive in the mail I'll post about them.

I think after I get this next project done I'm going to shoot my first video!!!!! Kinda scary. Lol

Cheers!!!

Just a Quick Hello!

This week has been very stressful and trying with a lot of waiting.  So I apologize I'm not posting something more upbeat and interesting!  I promise in a few days when all is well in the Land of Sara I'll have some exciting fun crafty things to share.  For now though I have a whole bunch of goodies coming in the mail!  Everything from Twilight Exchange cards to more paper to add to my hoard.  And a special  Bday present I pre ordered for myself.  It's the new Polaroid!!!

You'll remeber that I have this little beauty that prints out actual mini versions of the original Polaroids.  They are 3x2 and perfect for sticking into a journal of making a card with.

Well this beauty is pretty special too!  She also prints 3x2 prints but they are on a special heat reactive photo paper that lives in the camera.  What's really neat is that they have a sticky peel away back!  So they are perfect for crafting with.  The camera is digital so you get to make sure you have the shot you want to print!  I don't have her yet since she's a pre order but as soon as I do I'll share!

Travel Journal, Travel Kit!

For my MIL (Mother In Law).  My mother in law Candy is going away on an adventure in a couple of weeks and taking along a travel journal (like the ones in my Shop) I made for her at the beginning of the summer.  So I was thinking today looking at my own little On The Go Mail Kit that she definitely needed a Travel Journal Kit!  She isn't a journaler by nature but shes starting out.  So she doesn't really have ANY supplies.   Hmmm I wonder where she could get some?!?!?!

The Kit I put together for her cost me almost nothing.  I think the plastic school supply box was about a $1.79.  All of the goodies inside are from my own stash.  She has all of the basics.

1.  Washi Tape!
2.  Clear Tape
3.  Glue Stick
4.  Paper Clips
5.  Pens
6.  Crayons
7.  Note Cards
8.  Envelopes
9.  Journaling Cards
10.  Embellishments

And of course I typed up a little instruction page, just something to give her some ideas of what types of things she can stick into her little notebook of pretty paper.

Beautiful

Buzzing Bees.

I feel like Pooh Bear with little bees buzzing around in my head.  I'm in a crafty mood!  I have decided to start making stationery again.  I think cards rather than actual paper stationery sets.  Unfortunately I lack the talent and know how that it takes to actually draw on a computer and turn it into stationery.  But I do know how to layer pretty things on a card!!!  And play with rubber stamps and Washi tape!  I am super excited because I just ordered through Amazon a teeny tiny little stapler.

Strange thing to be exited about I know.  But never the less I am!  I think staples add a nice hand made feel to paper crafts.  Something that is tangible.  Don't get me wrong I love my adhesive runners and there lack of presence but there is something really nice about seeing a staple holding your paper goodness together.  And these staples are really small! 1/4 of an inch small.  La Di Da.  Right now I'm punching paper like a mad woman.  Hopefully by this weekend I'll have some cards up in my Shop for sale.

I'm trying really hard not to be too discouraged about my little sales here and there.  I don't know how other people manage to make a living at it!  I sure wish I could figure it out.  But Oh Well.  I'm having a ton of fun anyways.  Even if I just end up with enough stuff to give away as gifts for the next ten years!  CHEERS!!!

Happy!

Fathers Day! I hope everyone has a fun and wonderful Sunday! I have one more week of Jury Duty. Which by the way has been so fun! I wish I could be a professional juror. I'm learning so much and my days are a lot shorter than they are at my day job. We keep being told were a fun jury. I think it's because we all knew we would be stuck with eachother for three weeks and we can't talk about the case, so we're forceded to chat about ourselves. I've been hanging out with women old enough to be my mother or grandmother. And it has been so fun! I'm an old soul. Here are a few random pictures from my random week.

I received my last Twilight Card.

And I am going to make this blanket, isn't it Glorious?  Debra over at A Little Imagination and a Pile of Junk whipped this up. She calls it a random stitch crochet blanket. I think I'm in love. Every row or so you switch yarns and stitches. There's no pattern to follow or any rules. Which is great because I love to crochet but I get bored and end up leaving the blanket only a few rows in... So this suits me just fine!!! I think I'm going to go yarn shopping...

And finally some Washi Tape! (hello my name is Sara and I am addicted to Washi tape...)

Cheers!

Does Any One Else Ever...

Go on at Etsy binge?! Haha. I do... Sometimes I just can't help myself! Why does everything have to be so colorful and tempting. I have So many crafty ideas running through my head that I can't seem to pin any one thing down that I want to start.

There are the album kits I want to put together. The Fall and Christmas journals. The Wedding Album for my friend Erin that is halfway to
Happy completion... Not to mention all of my personal journaling goals! I want to try incorporating memories into my everyday journal and I haven't figured out how as of yet... Is anyone else's brain as craftily muddled as mine?! Well at least it's enjoyable. Cheers!!!

I Am A Washi Tape Addict

It's true! I admit it, I have over fourty rolls... But I just can't get enough! Washi Tape just brightens up any crafty project and makes it so much more special! I use the Japanese inspired masking tape for cards, journals, packaging, scrapbooking, journaling. Its uses are endless! And I have some really neat ones.
My newest two rolls are about an inch thick and look as though they are old dictioary pages. One has Flora and Fauna and one has the solar system and Planets. Seriously, isn't that the neatest thing ever!
Remember I'm a Trekkie. I aquire most of my tape from Etsy, these are a few of my fvorite Washi Tape Shops Pretty Tape and Little Happy Things And now even places like Michaels and Target are staring to carry it! The tape I acquired at Target, in the office supply section works great. It has perfect stickyness. Sadly the tape I bought from micheals, while cute isnt as good. It doesnt seem to stick as well. At least the things I collect are usable and take up a rather small amount of space! Right?
